Hydroxycut Reviews

Posted by pongsak3 on March 11, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Reviews of hydroxycut have been mostly positive. Many people have said they have tried every type of diet known to man and the weight would not come off. However when trying hydroxycut and keeping to an exercise program, many have shed upwards of 50 unwanted pounds.

They feel that as long as you follow the instructions provided to you, there should be no problem. Hydroxycut is highly recommended by several users who have lost weight using this product. It is used by many to maintain their weight. Testimonials from many have stated that they use it for a few months, about 3, and then go off it for several weeks.

When they reach the weight they want to be, they simply stop taking it. But should the weight begin to find its way back, they like the option of starting right back on it and not worrying about putting on too many pounds. Some of the quotes from people who have used Hydroxycut with good results are:

1. “The best weight loss product I have found.”

2. “I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.”

3. “When I started a weight loss program, I was not sure of using hydroxycut. However, after finding the ad in a magazine, I decided to try it. Three months and forty pounds lighter, I am truly glad I gave it a try.”

These are just a few of the reviews real life people have given to Hydroxycut. The proof of it working is in trying it. Many of the people who now have nothing but good things to say about hydroxycut are the very ones who were unsure of it doing what it promised.

One such review states that they think this product is the “most excellent energy as well as fat burning supplement I have used.” They also state that if you are not used to caffeine it is best to start out with smaller doses than recommended. Because of the ingredients, it can sometimes cause certain people to be a little shaky.

However by reducing the amount that you would normally take and working your way up to the recommended dose is the best way to avoid a shaky feeling. Another result of using hydroxycut according to reviews is the gaining of lean muscle. This is in addition to losing the weight they so desperately wanted to take off.

Even people who have only been using this product for two weeks have lost weight. One reviewer says that in two weeks he has lost 10 pounds and is planning to use it to lose the rest of the weight he needs to get rid of.

According to several people all that is needed to eliminate the sleeplessness at night is to take the last dose no later than about 5 p.m. This gives your body time to slow down and some exercise might not hurt either. The reviews on the energy levels that hydroxycut provides is excellent. Everyone says they experienced more energy and did not get tired as easily when dieting and using hydroxycut.

Home Improvement Offers NO Brand Improvment

Truth in Marketing

What your company takes as truth is not the fuel of preference and choice. The reason for this is that truth is not universal, it is in fact a product of perspective — and there are as many perspectives in the world as there are places to stand. Every one of your customers sees the world from their own personal vantage point.

As a marketer, do not be overly caught up in the product or service benefits that you consider TRUE differentiators or benefits over the competition. Leave the self-delusion to your competitors and grab every advantage that their blindness offers you. A dispassionate viewpoint when viewing your own brand will give you more than just a heads-up, it may very well propel your brand to dominance.

Think about the home and hardware superstores like Lowe’s and Home Depot. They are engaged in a desperate struggle for market share, both trying to convince homeowners… that doing things yourself is “doable” (read Home Depot’s tag line “You can do it. We can Help” — and Lowe’s tag line “Let’s Build Something Together”). They compete for customers with the promise that their store has everything you need, the brand names you crave, and that their selection and prices are unmatched.

Corporate Promises are Similar

Lowe’s — “We work hard to save you money every day. And we strive to offer you low prices every time you shop. We call these Everyday Low Prices, and we do our best to provide you with the best values, whether at your local Lowe’s store or online at Lowes.com”

Home Depot –”The Home Depot provides our customers with excellent service every time they come into our stores. We offer the right products, the right selection, the right prices and a team of associates passionate about your needs. We build lasting relationships by helping customers realize their dreams and growing their trust through our products and services.”

As a category, the home improvement super stores have succeeded in squeezing the local hardware store and building supply companies. Their volume and pricing has changed the way national hardware retailers like True Value and Ace Hardware must do business, but the focus that brought about a sea change in the way home owners shop for the ever broadening category of home improvement products does little to take market share from ether of the big two.

Today they have relegated their competitive practices to promotions and location. In both cases, even these poor attempts at preference has become harder to differentiate as they seem to follow each other in the location of store openings.

Lowe’s had a marketing strategy, some years back that at least positioned them against the category leader by claiming that they were “Improving Home Improvement” but even that has been dropped in exchange for the more category generic claim of “Let’s Build Something Together.” The former advertising tag line (not a brand theme line) succeeded in positioning them against the category but fell victim to the all too common tact of talking about themselves rather than branding the company through identification with the folks that shop there.

Let’s look at the category in general for just a moment. Does the category promise to empower the customer as people who can “do it themselves”? Absolutely. By promising the sense of control that being a “do-it yourselfer” represents the category has changed the landscape and overtaken the old category of lumberyards and hardware stores. This, Stealing Share® calls a category benefit meaning it defines an equity that everyone who has permission to play in a category of products or services share. No one owns it because everyone claims it. It is the minimum requirement needed to compete. It also means that claiming this value does not provide a competitive advantage over competition.

All Holes Get Filled

Home Depot and Lowe’s have left it to the customer to supply the brand values that differentiate them. Have no fear — human beings have an innate drive that propels them towards simplicity and clear understanding. The lack of a compelling brand forms a vacuum that never remains empty for long. As the left-brain attempts to provide rational reasons to justify a right-brain decision, the customer will supply an identity that reinforces their decision making process.

The problem with leaving this critical brand void to the customer’s discretion is that your company will not have a brand… it will have as many BRANDS as it has customers and your business will be left to compete through a mixture of price discounting, increased advertising spending and the tremendous expense of new site construction. After all, if customers have no reason to choose beyond their own “you fill in the blank” — what incentive do they have for driving past a more convenient location of a newly build Home Depot and continue on a mile further and shop at the Lowe’s that had, up until the new Home Depot arrived, been their habit?

Winning

This is the truth in the home improvement category. However, you can be assured that Lowe’s and Home Depot disagree with our assessment. They see real and truthful differences between themselves and their competitor. Maybe one is sure they have better name brands. Maybe the other is sure they have better systems and friendlier employees. Just remember: “What your company takes as truth is not the fuel of preference and choice. The reason for this is that truth is not universal, it is in fact a product of perspective — and there are as many perspectives in the world as there are places to stand. Every one of your customers sees the world from their own personal vantage point.”

Spyderco Sage Folding Knife Review

Posted by pongsak3 on March 9, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Spyderco is well known for making knives that combine great looks and superb ergonomics at a reasonable price. Their Sage folding knife designed is no exception. I recently got a good deal on the Sage and here are my honest opinions:

What I like about the knife:

1. Your fingers are protected against lock failure thanks to the super-tough liner lock. My knife has no movement when in the locked position, either side to side or up and down. Opening and closing the knife is very smooth and one handed opening is no problem.

2. The 3 inch drop point blade is crafted from high quality S30V stainless steel. Your knife will be comfortable enough and legal to carry with you almost anywhere, but large enough to perform most utility tasks easily.

3. Spyderco uses an impressive handle that features deeply checkered carbon fiber. The handle not only looks nice, but feels very comfortable in your hand. Perfect for an everyday work knife.

4. Jimping or thumb grooves on the back of the blade allows you to apply direct pressure when making precise cuts or when you need to rip through something in a hurry.

5. Instead of using a thumb stud, Spyderco decided to use a thumb hole. This feature not only allows for easy one handed opening, but you won’t need to worry about getting replacement thumb studs.

6. Ambidextrous pocket clip makes right or left handed carry a breeze.

What I didn’t like:

I wish that the same design was offered with half or full serrations. This knife is only available with a plain edge at the moment.

Overall:

Spyderco’s Sage folding knife continues their tradition of high quality cutting tools at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Sage as either an everyday utility knife or tactical knife for military, police or emergency personnel.

Starting Your Small Business Branding Efforts

Posted by pongsak3 on March 7, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Branding is an important aspect of every business. Many businesses enjoy unbelievable success because they have effectively branded themselves. Think of the following companies, which have annual revenues in the billions because of their successful branding efforts:

o McDonald’s

o Lowe’s

o Home Depot

Even if you own a small business - and your yearly revenue levels do not approach the billions - you still need to try to build your brand and build respect within the industry. Effectively developing your brand can significantly increase your profits and lead to a long and enjoyable life for your business.

However, worrying constantly about your brand will not produce positive results, either. Think of an athlete who wilts under pressure; that is what you will do if you press too hard to build your brand. You have put forth effort to make it happen, for sure; but you cannot press too hard. It does take time.

The first step towards building a great brand reputation is to consistently produce great products, or to consistently deliver great services.

Obviously, you also need customers in order to build your brand. So, to recap, here are the consistent quality, and a good marketing strategy to bring in customers.

Finding your Customers

To bring in more customers, you need to know who they are. Not everyone is a potential customer for your business. Only people who have a need for the product or service that you produced can be considered possible customers, or prospects.

Do not ignore the “old fashioned” marketing techniques, such as brochures. They are still effective tools. Design a brochure printing project that targets people who need your product or service.

Here are two things that all of your brochures must include:

1. The need that your business fills. There is a need that your company fills, and you have to emphasize that in all of your advertising. As a side note, if your company does not fill a need, you are in trouble.

2. A way to get in contact with you. This sound obvious, but it is still worth mentioning. Include many different ways for the readers of your brochures to get in touch with you, including phone numbers, website addresses, email addresses, fax numbers, and anything else.

Again, do not forget to constantly produce quality products. That is the first step to building a great brand, but I cannot help you with that. I can help you with bringing in customers, and one of the best things you can do to that end is create a good brochure. Obviously, it does not stop there, but that will provide you with a good start. With that, you will be on your way to generating a brand as effective as McDonald’s. Well, maybe not…but you never know.

Prices of Homes For Sale Plummet and DIY Stores Like Home Depot, Screwfix, Home Depot & B&Q Suffer

Posted by pongsak3 on March 6, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

In the news today we read that financial institutions and banks will lose one trillion dollars because mortgage backed assets have lost their value. This year has seen a national downturn in the prices of houses in US and mortgage lenders in the UK have repossessed forty eight percent more properties.

Homeowners are finding it more difficult to repay their mortgages because of the economic slowdown. Although many of us turn to blame the UK weather forecast for a decline in spending, this is not the entire story as the cost of home improvements have climbed by twenty percent in the past two years.

A slow down in the housing market, house sales, a lack of home builders, and families spending less money on their homes and home renovations all are a factor in the falling profits of B & Q, Home Depot, Trade Depot, Screwfix and other DIY stores.

A story from the BBC news on 21st May give details that Home Depot held a slowdown in the housing market, which had been hit by increasing interest rates, and falling house prices, responsible for a loss in their profits. Similarly a report on 4th June explained that sales in the UK at the DIY stores Screwfix, Trade Depot and B & Q were down, and profits had fallen as well.

A month later the BBC news stated that Travis Perkins, the builders merchants who bought out Wickes home improvement stores, had established that customers were spending less on new kitchens, bathrooms and other large items.

Still in July of this year we saw administrators taking over the DIY flooring retailer, Birmingham based Floors2Go. They closed forty-one of their one hundred and thirty two stores whilst they look for a new buyer. As money becomes tighter, home construction and property sales fall, it becomes increasingly harder to ensure a quick house sale.

However there are several companies around who can help you if you are looking for a quick property sale, regardless whether you are facing financial difficulties and repossession, want to relocate or emigrate, have a problem with a commercial property, or have suffered a bereavement. It does not matter whether you live in a leasehold flat, a freehold house or if you are a landlord who has have a portfolio of properties.

They are available 24 hours a day, will personally answer your call and send out an information pack immediately. You will receive a valuation within 48 hours, and then you can take your time to make up your mind. The best thing about this is that there is absolutely no charge whether you decide to go ahead with your property sale or not. On the other hand if you want to exchange and complete within 7 days this is also possible.

There are other options, which you may not have considered, like selling your home and then renting it back. Sell and rent back allows you to release the equity in your home and have the cash you need without moving. Just think of the benefits, you will be able to keep your job, your neighbors and friends won’t know and the children won’t have to change schools. Additionally you will not have to pay for valuations or an estate agent.

Tiki Bar Design Made Simple

Posted by pongsak3 on March 5, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

If your looking for a tiki bar design then you are reading the right article. I assume your looking to bring a chunk of paradise to your backyard right? Well there’s no better single way than to build your own tiki bar. I know Tiki Bars get me in the perfect party mood, and it will do the same for your guest.

Is there a simple way of building your own tiki bar?

You need to realize a tiki bar is nothing more then a table with a roof, a fancy table with a roof. You need to think about this logically, it’s just a table with a roof on it. Now does that sound pretty simple to you? So what do you do to bring this idea to reality?

Simple basic steps to building your own tiki bar:

-First you need to find a table; it may be an old used table or a brand new table. If you’re really looking to save on cost hit up a thrift store and see what they have, also go to home depot and look for some cheap tables there. If you have an old table sitting around all the better. You need to remember that the table will be covered and not seen, so it can look like total garbage as long as it’s sturdy.

-You do not need an expensive counter top, you can use throw away table covers for the counter design. This may sound like a cheap low quality alternative but the truth is tiki bars are meant for a party atmosphere. You can find some great designs even at party city; remember to go tropical if that’s your theme.

-You do not have to build the entire tiki bar yourself, although this is a popular effective tiki bar design. It’s not hard to self build your tiki bar and it does give you total control of the design, like I said earlier though you can simply use an old table for the base.

-Finding the roof can be hard, but always remember that straw is great for tike roofs. In fact im a big fan of the straw roofs, in some ways they look better than the palm roofs.

These are just some basics when it comes to a tiki bar design. You can get full step by step details with pictures and all at my blog. Look at the bottom of this article in my bio box for the link. I wish you the best of luck in your tiki building adventures, and I promise it can be a fun trip!

Single Moms Recovery From Bad Credit

Posted by pongsak3 on March 4, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

There is a public perception that having bad credit means you are an irresponsible bad person. For single mothers this boils down to the impact of their circumstances in life. Regardless of circumstances single moms have to start building credit to gain the purchasing power to buy cars, homes and a comfortable lifestyle.

Being a single mother is a juggling act, but loans for single moms with bad credit are available. Care has to be taken that wherever the money comes from its acquisition must be weighed against the future. There are loans and grants available to pay the electric bill or the car repair bill. Although these are helpful, rarely will you find temporary relief for important things like diapers and other essentials. Again, when the emergency arises, the best thing to do is weigh your options and make an informed decision.

Car Loans

Fortunately, getting a car loan is very easy nowadays if you have bad credit or no credit. However, the auto industry is struggling and many American companies are willing to overlook bad credit just to get a car off the lot. The price you pay is a high interest rate loan. The cost of the car may be far more than it is actually worth. However, if you need transportation and think your situation is temporary, buy the car and refinance the loan later with a better rate. However, it is better to get a cheap reliable car, then get in over your head and lose out on the chance to improve your credit.

Housing Assistance and Repair

The Department of Housing and Urban Development offers loans to help with buying a house, and also covers major repairs like roofing, plumbing and general maintenance. They work with all types of buyers with poor credit, delinquencies and low-income. If the emergency is a home repair this is the best place for single moms with bad credit to get loans. Granted it may not be easy but you have to persevere.

Payday Loans

Generally these loans should be your last option because they are the worse. The interest rate can climb as high as 1800 percent of the original loan. And late fees apply to missed payments as well. These types of loans should be avoided at all cost. However, they remain a popular alternative because they do not require credit checks. If an emergency requires a payday loan, be aware that missing payments rack up substantial fees and the repayment may equal two to three times the original amount when all is said and done.

How does this brief article help you if you’re strapped for cash and have run out of options? Regardless of your current situation you must keep an eye on the future. Don’t get yourself into a financial jam if you’re already in a financial jam. Remember, if you haven’t got the money, don’t write the check. If you have to borrow, it becomes more difficult to pay it back, because you were strapped before you borrowed. Learn to crawl before you walk. Sacrifice a couple of years beginning today and your tomorrow will be brighter than you ever imagined.

How to Remove Cat Urine Odor Using a Free Homemade Recipe

Posted by pongsak3 on March 3, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Last year we purchased a home that been soiled by the previous owners’ cat.

We thought that having the carpets professionally cleaned would take care of it

but it just made the problem worse.

After using several well-advertised and expensive cat urine removal products that

didn’t work, I was searching on the web for a solution and found a homemade

remedy that uses three simple household products. Desperate I tried it and

wouldn’t you know it - it worked!

So well that I had to find out why and researched the chemistry and origins of the

recipe. I found out it was developed originally by a chemist for neutralizing the

proteins in skunk odor, which are the same proteins found in cat urine and give it

it’s horrible smell!

Cat urine is not much different from any other urine, be it human or other animals.

It is made up urea, creatinine, uric acid, sodium and other electrolytes. When cat

urine dries the urea gets broken down by bacteria which gives it that distinctive

ammonia smell. As it decomposes further it releases thiols which make the cat

urine odor worse yet.

The recipe works because the reaction of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda

produces large amount of oxygen. The oxygen molecules bond to the thiols,

breaking them up into carbon dioxide and ammonia, that evaporates quickly

thereby effectively neutralizing the thoils and their foul-smelling odor.

THE RECIPE

1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon of liquid soap

Gently mix all ingredients in a non-metal container. Do not mix or shake

vigorously!

The mixture is best used when fresh but can be stored. Do not keep mixture in an

airtight container as baking soda and hydrogen peroxide when mixed together

release loads of oxygen. We don’t want an explosion on our hands on top of the

mess we already have!

I mix and keep mine in a large spray bottle I bought from Home Depot but on old

plastic liter soda bottle works just a well. Just remember to keep the cap on

loose.

3% hydrogen peroxide can be bought at most grocery and drug stores in pint

and quart bottles.

A word of caution:

Surfaces that are porous may swell e.g. drywall, wood flooring, particle board,

etc. with application of this recipe. But if your surface is already ruined by cat

urine and you want to get rid of the odor until you can replace it - give it a try.

Always test for color-fastness when using first. Apply to a small area and wait

24-48 hours until dry before using on an entire area. Hydrogen peroxide is a

bleaching agent in stronger concentrations (think teeth whiteners) and can lighten

materials that are not color-fast.

How to Choose the Right Plumbing Supply House

Posted by pongsak3 on March 1, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

With the economy struggling more and more, people are turning to Do It Yourself projects. People are trying to save money whenever and wherever they can so what better place to start saving money is on home improvements. Many homeowners believe that when they have a plumbing issue at home, they need to spend hundreds of dollars on a plumber, when in fact most repairs and improvements can be done by themselves.

All you need is the knowledge to do the job and the right parts and tools. Finding the how to can be done just by reading a book or going online to find the job you are doing. The right parts and tools can be found in most local supply houses. The question should be how do I find the right plumbing supply house? There are some people who have a local neighborhood shop and the larger stores such as Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Most people when asked would go right for Home Depot. But is it really the answer. The reason why you are doing these repairs or home improvement jobs yourself is to save money, so why not take a few minutes and do some research. Make a list of everything you need and then look up the names and phone numbers of the plumbing supply house in your area.

Ask to speak to a representative in the store and ask them for stock and prices. The larger stores may have more in stock but they may be a bit more money. Or you may find the local plumbing supply that you have been going to for years may be more money but you feel obligated to support local business. In these times, you have to support your bank account and be responsible and get your parts at a good price so the job will actually save you money.

The economy will bounce back but when, no one knows. So you have to do what you can, where you can in order to save money. If you aren’t going to take the time and do proper research then you may as well call a plumber and spend the money on them rather on something your family may need later.
